Toffee Fondue with Fruit Kebabs and Toasted Brioche
It's not just meat that you can grill on the BBQ, this delicious dessert is a great way to finish a summer BBQ with friends or family. Dip your fruity kebabs and toasted brioche into a rich toffee sauce for a true taste sensation

Ingredients
For the toffee fondue
- 50g Butter (unsalted)
- 110g Demerara sugar with stevia
- 2 tbsp Golden syrup
- 100ml Double cream
- 0.5 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp Black treacle
For the sides
- 200g Strawberries
- 2 Peach(es) (sliced)
- 0.5 Pineapple (cut into chunks)
- 3 tbsp Unrefined golden caster sugar
- 4 Brioche (slices)
Method
- Put all the fondue ingredients in a saucepan set over a high heat and boil for approximately 4-5 minutes, stirring regularly, until it has thickened.
- Thread the fruits on wooden skewers. Sprinkle with caster sugar and grill on the barbecue for about 3-4 minutes until just scorched and tender. Toast the brioche for a few seconds each side on the bbq and serve with the fruit and toffee sauce.
