FSC

Forest Stewardship Council®

Our sugar beet is home grown and our paper bags are made from recyclable, FSC® certified paper. FSC runs a global forest certification system. FSC certified wood, paper and other forest products are made with material from well-managed forests and/or recycled sources. By choosing products and packaging with the FSC label you are helping to ensure that our forests are alive for generations to come. The Carbon Trust

The Carbon Trust

We’re committed to using less energy to make what we sell, reducing our impact on the environment. That’s one of the reasons why we have been working with the Carbon Trust for over a decade to measure and reduce the carbon footprint of our sugar. We’ve made a lot of progress over that time, thanks to small projects like installing energy efficient lighting, through to larger investments such as recovering waste heat. We’re always looking for new ways to reduce our carbon footprint. For more information on the Carbon Trust, visit their website: www.carbontrust.com.

LASI

LASI

We support the Laboratory of Apiculture and Social Insects (LASI) at the University of Sussex who study honey bees and other social insects in order to safeguard biodiversity, beekeeping and pollination in Britain for future generations. We support LASI by providing sugar to help the bees survive throughout winter so their great research can continue.
