Create a little happiness with...Vanilla Pods
Vanilla pods come from the fruit of an orchid. They are allowed to ripen before being carefully harvested, dried and conditioned through a series of delicate processes that take months to achieve the finest quality finished products.

Each tube contains two Bourbon Vanilla Pods sourced from Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. Vanilla Pods have an intense aroma and sweet exotic flavour and are great for flavouring custards, cakes, desserts and chocolate recipes and delicious in stews, soups, fish, shellfish, and poultry dishes.
Get Creative!
Place a vanilla bean split vertically in a bottle of pure maple syrup and allow it to sit two weeks before using. The flavor is incredible! You can continue to use the bean as it will infuse flavor for six months to a year, depending on how quickly you use up the syrup.
Top Tip
Soften the pod by steaming it for 1 to 2 minutes in a steamer or in a sieve over boiling water, then cool it slightly. It will be much easier to slit. Also, when scraping out the seeds, do this over a sheet of parchment paper or waxed paper. Otherwise you will lose some of the precious seeds because they'll cling to your hands or even get under your fingernails as you try to pick them up.
