Silver Spoon Local Hero Awards

To celebrate the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support, official sugar partner Silver Spoon, the homegrown sugar people, have launched the Silver Spoon Local Hero Awards.
We are encouraging everyone to tell us in less than 100 words who they are nominating for a Silver Spoon Local Hero Award, why, and what you would bake them to say thank you. It could be a helpful neighbour or a teacher who goes the extra mile, anyone who has made a difference in your life.
The person who enters the best Local Hero story will then be entered into a national competition to be in with the chance of winning one of 13 Silver Spoon baking hampers worth £75 for themselves.
Master Patissier Eric Lanlard, star of Channel 4’s Baking Mad with Eric Lanlard, will be judging the entries and whomever he chooses to be the winner of the Silver Spoon’s National Hero award will be presented with a cake baked by the man himself.
